About the Role

Casa Esperanza is a leading behavioral health treatment provider, serving Boston and the Merrimack Valley. As a Behavioral Health Clinician Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness, and chronic medical conditions.

You will serve as part of our multidisciplinary team, working closely with clients who have co-occurring disorders. Your expertise will be essential in identifying client strengths, needs, and preferences to develop individualized service plans.

We are seeking a highly skilled clinician to provide group treatment services using evidence-based practices. Your ability to work collaboratively with the team, communicate effectively, and prioritize client care will make you an excellent fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy, couple therapy, and family therapy to meet client needs.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention counseling, with referrals to ongoing mental health services when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the program team to coordinate and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate.
  • Engage external and internal service providers to better meet client needs.
  • Participate in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in decision-making related to treatment planning and implementation.
  • Foster a positive and supportive team environment by being a resource to colleagues on mental health-related issues.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with a psychiatric, substance-using, co-occurring population is essential.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with working in a strength-based, trauma-informed environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of community resources, HIV/AIDS recovery, homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system is valuable.
