We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the prestigious Robert J. Manning Endowed Chair in Finance at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. This tenured full-professor appointment offers a unique opportunity for a distinguished scholar to lead our Finance Department and contribute to the academic excellence of our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Finance Department and provide strategic direction for research, teaching, and service initiatives
- Maintain a high-quality research agenda and publish in top-tier finance journals
- Teach and mentor Ph.D. students, as well as undergraduate and graduate students
- Collaborate with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, and stakeholders within the School and the broader community
- Engage in external service to the profession and maintain a strong commitment to internal and external service
- Tenured Full or Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited school
- Evidence of ongoing research and a record of top-tier publications in finance
- A record of teaching effectiveness and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience in supervising and advising doctoral students
- Evidence of a strong commitment to internal and external service
