Job Summary

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global trade management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve complex customs compliance issues to make recommendations for compliant, practical solutions to management and internal business partners.
  • Respond to all compliance inquiries from appointed import/export agents and customs brokers for assigned countries and regions.
  • Implement the US C-TPAT Trade Compliance program and become a Global Trade Management super-user with system testing responsibilities.
  • Assign defined global HS templates in the Global Trade Management system for Oracle products.
  • Perform customs declaration and price paid audits on Oracle customs declarations.
  • Manage remediation with customs brokers and evaluate assists associated with Oracle's imported product.
  • Support risk assessments from changes in supply chain distribution models, manufacturing models, importer structure, and acquisitions.
  • Pursue continuous process efficiencies and automation opportunities, and document compliance procedures.
  • Data analysis support for the US Duty Drawback program and ACE Secure Data Portal reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing the US C-TPAT Trade Compliance program.
  • Skills in interpreting customs regulations to assess applicability and impact to Oracle to drive necessary controls to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving complex customs compliance issues to make recommendations for compliant, practical solutions and corrective action to management and internal business partners in specified countries and regions.
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience in United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, European Union Harmonized Tariff Classification codes with local ruling review, determination of Partner Government Agency and anti-dumping/countervailing duty requirements for computer, network, and other hi-tech products for import and export purposes.
  • Experience in performing customs declaration auditing and customs broker remediation.
  • Experience in evaluating assists for imported product.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a multinational company with a global remote cross-functional team.
  • Experience with data analysis for the US Duty Drawback program.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Associate Degree and/or 3-5+ years of Customs compliance work experience.
  • Preferred experience using Oracle ERP and Oracle Global Trade Management.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within the US, when required.
