About this Role

As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse with TotalMed Staffing, you'll provide compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessing, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and advocating for patients' well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to patients with mental health disorders in a behavioral health setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status, including psychiatric symptoms, behavioral patterns, and risk factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and stability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care and support patients' overall well-being.
  • Advocate for patients' rights, facilitate psychoeducation for patients and their families, and promote a supportive and therapeutic environment conducive to healing and recovery.

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license
  • BLS (other certifications as required by facility)
  • 2 years of recent Behavioral Health experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
