The Maintenance Operations Director / Shift Coordinator Lead will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance work at our facility. This includes directing daily activities of maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and coordinating coverage for on-shift maintenance technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and monitors the activities of employees engaged in maintenance operations and procedures">
  • Ensures that behaviors, practices, and the work environment support a safe workplace through training and adherence to safety protocols">
  • Supports continuous improvement objectives to improve safety, quality, and throughput processes">
  • Provides direction, expertise, and work execution decisions for all maintenance work on the shift">
  • Ensures that planned and scheduled work is executed and completed on time with minimal disruption from non-emergency reactive work requests">
  • Utilizes metrics data to evaluate and improve work processes and makes recommendations for maintenance plan improvements based on machine performance, observations, and data analysis">
  • Drives the development and implementation of maintenance improvement processes aimed at improving overall equipment reliability">
  • Leads shift hand-off meetings, conveying important information to the oncoming maintenance team">
  • Oversees maintenance technicians' schedules for your shift, including coordinating coverage for vacations and call-offs">
  • Requisitions materials and supplies as needed">
  • Inspects and monitors work areas, tools, and equipment">
