Role Overview

This role is part of a sales team focused on the psychiatry space responsible for promoting an injectable therapy for schizophrenia in hospitals. As a key member of the Institutional (Hospital) Sales Team, you will be located in the Charlotte, NC market and work closely with internal stakeholders to drive business results.

You will possess a deep understanding of organizational objectives and align resources accordingly. Your strong analytical skills will enable you to analyze trends and apply knowledge effectively to customer interactions. Additionally, you will uphold the culture and values of Teva Pharmaceuticals in all interactions and business matters.

Responsibilities
  • Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed territory-level sales goals, leveraging your understanding of different settings of care and identifying key business opportunities within these settings.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and training.
  • Adhere to all Teva compliance guidelines, operate with integrity, and ensure the sales team adheres to these policies.
  • Review weekly/monthly data reports to identify trends and make plans to address concerns, building rapport and relationships by interacting effectively with employees and external contacts at all levels.
  • Provide healthcare product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing of products to current and potential customers.
  • Consult with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff to appropriately promote the product and provide product and patient education.
  • Work closely with specialty pharmacy facilities to ensure product availability and provide education as necessary.
  • Remain apprised of all product formulary developments within hospitals by working closely with the P&T committee.
  • Collaborate with the discharge coordinator to understand patient follow-up treatment and transitions of care.
  • Maintain a call average, defined as face-to-face interactions with healthcare providers, focusing on top target customers.
Your Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of this position will be considered. Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably in the long-acting injectable schizophrenia space
  • Experience in the hospital setting with a detailed understanding of buy and bill, formulary placement, P&T committees, and in-services
  • Experience successfully launching products in the psychiatric space across multiple settings of care
  • Injectable and in-office administration experience within a mental health facility
  • The ability to operate within complex settings and networks and provide customer insights effectively
