Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our team at the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center. As a key member of our Harm Reduction Clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clerical aspects of patient services, ensuring completeness and continuity of care for our substance use disorder treatment program.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering phone calls, and assisting patients with their needs.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments, patient registration, collect copays, and post daily encounters.
  • Communicate effectively with HRC nurses to address any issues with patient prescriptions.
  • Collaborate with the HRC team to complete Department of Public Health required office-based addiction treatment (OBAT) paperwork.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Willingness and ability to learn all aspects of job requirements.
  • High level of interpersonal and professional skills.
  • Bilingual required.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a busy community health center in a high-crime, urban neighborhood. Interruptions are present, and stress is present due to high volume of work, diversified nature of activities, and frequent crises and deadlines.
