Job Summary

The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Oklahoma Wound Care Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide critical nursing care to patients with various types of wounds.

About the Role

This dynamic role requires developing care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will maintain patient documentation, assist during procedures, and contribute to the training of other staff members.

The Oklahoma Wound Care Center is the largest outpatient wound center in the Oklahoma City area, treating a wide variety of patients and their wounds. Our team plays a vital role in assessing and treating simple to complex wounds, working closely with physicians to achieve healing.

We are committed to providing high-quality patient care in a busy and fast-paced clinic with 3 wound care specialized physicians, 10 exam rooms, and 4 hyperbaric oxygen chambers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
  • Contribute to the development of a plan of care and follow through with such plan for selected patients.
  • Administer medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
  • Document nursing care and activities.
  • Assist with patient care and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Maintain the exam/treatment rooms and work environment.
  • Assist with the training of other staff members.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.

Preferred qualifications include previous hospital experience and stable employment history. We also consider school attendance record and performance if no work experience is available.

Licensure and Certification
  • Current Oklahoma State LPN License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

$18.08-$29.53 per hour, depending on previous work experience.
