Job Description:

A Machine Technician Specialist at Jetson Specialty Marketing will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of production equipment and machinery to maintain optimal output. This individual will set up, adjust, and maintain machinery to precise tolerances.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions on mail machines
  • Provide technical support and establish effective relationships with operators and other technicians
  • Perform timely preventive inspections and maintenance on machines, equipment, parts, and supplies
  • Report performance metrics to supervisors and communicate recurring equipment issues
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for guidance when needed
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field (high school diploma or equivalent preferred)
  • Two or more years of experience in a Machine Technician role
  • One or more years of experience in a print or mail industry (optional)
  • Experience in quality control, lean manufacturing, safety, is a plus

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated solid mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance and regulations
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent stooping and bending
  • Physical strength to lift and carry 25 pounds frequently

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year based on location and experience.
