The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As a Nurse Specialist for Acute Care, you'll play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients in our emergency services department.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive patient care.
  • Working independently within your scope of practice to provide safe and optimal patient care.
  • Promoting a positive work environment and supporting change initiatives within the department and organization.
  • Performing specialized or department-specific nursing functions to provide safe and efficient patient care.
  • Completing documentation required for patient care in an accurate, concise, and timely manner.
  • Assessing and addressing patient education needs to promote patient self-management upon discharge.
What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of a Diploma or degree in nursing; a Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
  • Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off. Based on industry standards and location, the estimated salary range for this position is between $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
