Sterile Processing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Estes Park Health. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical instruments and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain all sterilization logs for autoclaves and steris System 1E machines.
- Perform daily Bowie Dick Test and Biological Test for Autoclaves and System 1E.
- Clean and process GI scope with documentation and sterilization as needed.
- Maintain department inventory control for supplies and implants utilizing established PAR levels.
- Work with Materials for special orders, updating EPIC, inventory changes.
- Assist in pulling cases using preference cards as needed.
- Assist with opening cases using sterile technique as directed by RN and ORT.
- Practice and be knowledgeable of AAMI Guidelines and practices.
- Participate in committees as assigned.
- Perform in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory agency standards.
- Perform in accordance with EPH vision, mission, and goals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, on-the-job training or certification program.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- Certification as Sterile Processing Technician preferred.
- If non-certified, must be certified within two years.
