The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Benefits Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Economic Empowerment department, you will play a critical role in providing essential services to clients, including Cuban/Haitian Entrants (CHEs) and Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive services to clients, including benefit application review, eligibility determinations, and enrollment meetings.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the Kentucky Office for Refugees (KOR) and the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS).
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Prepare and disseminate case closure documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Use personal vehicle and/or public transportation to travel and transport clients and materials as needed.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field preferred.
- Relevant professional experience in human services required; minimum of 2 years' experience strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Working knowledge of public assistance programs in Kentucky preferred.
- Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant welcome; experience working with refugees and/or immigrants preferred.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.
