Job Summary

Mary's Center is seeking a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in primary care and a passion for working with diverse populations.

The Family Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to patients in an efficient and effective manner. This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a Master of Science in Nursing, an active NP license in the District of Columbia and/or Maryland, and current national board certification. At least three years of experience practicing medicine is required, with a preference for experience working in a community health setting and/or with immigrant or economically disadvantaged populations.

The Family Nurse Practitioner will report to the Administrative Medical Director and will be evaluated annually on clinical competency. The position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, with additional language proficiency or fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in team and provider meetings
  • Participate in projects and/or policy initiatives for Mary's Center and its community
  • Perform other duties as determined by the Administrative Medical Director and EVP of Medicine

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing
  • Active NP license in the District of Columbia and/or Maryland
  • Current national board certification
  • At least three years of experience practicing medicine
  • Experience working in a community health setting and/or with immigrant or economically disadvantaged populations preferred
