Job Description

The role of a Clinical Dietitian II at University Health involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy aligned with patient goals and objectives.

Main responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition plans based on established care standards, managing resources efficiently, contributing to performance improvement initiatives, and maintaining professional competence in dietetics and nutrition practices as recommended by the American Dietetic Association and University Health policies.

This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with patients, guests, and colleagues.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field is mandatory, accompanied by completion of either an American Dietetic Association-approved dietetic internship or a hospital dietetics program approved by the ADA.
  • No less than five years of experience as a clinical dietitian are required.
  • Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish are preferred.

In terms of licensure, this position necessitates registration as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association and possession of a current license from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians.

Estimated Salary

$83,667 annually, reflecting competitive compensation for a Clinical Dietitian II at University Health, considering industry standards and regional cost of living factors.
