Job Description

We are seeking an experienced residential carpenter to join our team at Handyman Connection of Winchester, VA. As a residential carpentry specialist, you will be responsible for building decks, screen porches, replacing doors, installing trim, and custom carpentry projects.

Salary and Benefits

Earn up to $1,200/week, depending on your skills and availability. You will work as an independent contractor on your own schedule, with opportunities for employment available. We offer professional office support, including scheduling, customer support, job tracking, and billing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A positive attitude and 10 years of professional experience in residential home repairs and remodeling.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Your own tools and business liability insurance (for independent contractors).
  • A valid VA or WV contractors license (for independent contractors) and business license (for independent contractors).
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard. This includes determining and clearly identifying proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects. You must also be able to read and interpret plans and have knowledge of local building codes.
