Job Summary:

South Lake Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse to join our team. As an Acute Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

About the Role:

This position requires a graduate of an approved school of nursing with a valid State of Florida RN license or eNLC multistate RN license. You will work closely with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to effectively plan and manage patient care, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients. Your strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask will enable you to coordinate care, delegate tasks, and document patient information accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care based on patient responses and outcomes
- Provide respectful and empathetic relationships with all team members and customers
- Function as a patient advocate, ensuring patients' rights are respected and upheld
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-specific care to patients served on the assigned unit/department
- Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician, guiding and supporting new team members and students

Requirements:

- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Valid State of Florida RN license or eNLC multistate RN license
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required for certain areas
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for Hospital Care at Home In-home nursing
- 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above; 2 years acute care nursing experience required for Hospital Care at Home

Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
