Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in South Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students develop their communication skills, providing assessments, therapy, and support to enhance their academic and social success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs to promote effective communication and learning outcomes.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments, promoting a seamless transition between settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes to inform future treatment decisions and measure success.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay at the forefront of the field.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required, as we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and grow with our team.
