Dialysis Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Dialysis Registered Nurse to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant. As a Dialysis Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our medical providers and care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required.
- Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required.
- Recent dialysis RN experience strongly preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant is a full-service hospital with over 260 beds that provides specialized services for liver cancer care, emergency care, weight loss surgery, urology surgery, vascular surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, colorectal surgery, and behavioral health care.
