Overview

Youth Villages, a national leader in providing mental and behavioral health services for troubled children and their families, is seeking qualified professionals to join our team as LifeSet Specialists. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping 17-21 year old clients become self-sufficient by assisting them in locating and learning how to use community resources such as housing, employment, and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry a caseload of up to 10 young adults and meet with each client at least once per week, adjusting frequency as needed.
  • Provide on-call crisis support to clients 24/7 and ensure timely communication with Clinical Supervisors during crisis situations.
  • Implement suggested interventions from supervisors and consultants in a timely manner and participate in weekly supervision exercises to ensure effective treatment planning.
  • Engage with clients and their support systems to elicit full participation in treatment and conduct ongoing assessments of client needs from a strength-focused perspective.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social services field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology) or a related field with relevant experience.
  • One year of experience in counseling and/or case management, preferably with vulnerable populations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic computer knowledge and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
