The Logistics Yard Driver Specialist is a critical role at Kenco Logistics Services, LLC. This position involves safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, ensuring seamless logistics operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Yard Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely backing trailers into assigned dock/yard spaces, engaging dock locks, and deploying trailer stands. Additionally, you will park and organize trailers on the warehouse yard, perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and utilize YMS tools for inbound and outbound trailer movements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely maneuver trailers within the yard to prevent damage and ensure efficient logistics flow.
  • Operate a forklift to move shipments between trailer movements, maintaining a high level of productivity and safety.
  • Assist with refueling yard tractors and coordinate with office clerks to prioritize trailer movements.
  • Inspect trailers after putting them on the dock, identifying any potential issues or damage.
  • Complete all system and manual reports/log accurately and timely, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner, observing all traffic regulations and maintaining accountability for assigned tools and equipment.
Requirements
  • A valid Class A CDL with 2 years driving experience.
  • A minimum of six months related experience or training in a distribution environment.
  • A High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the importance of this role in our logistics operations.
