Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience, with a strong background in assessing patient conditions, prioritizing care, and implementing life-saving interventions. As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with board-certified pediatric emergency room physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care.

Your role will involve:

  • Providing family-centered care that meets the unique needs of each patient
  • Quickly assessing patients to identify their needs and prioritize care
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Explaining treatment plans and procedures to patients and their families, offering emotional support and reassurance
  • Maintaining hospital and unit-specific competencies
  • Collaborating with the pediatric acute care team to coordinate transition of care for admitted patients
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification

Estimated Salary

$83,435 per annum, based on national averages and industry standards for pediatric emergency nurses in Tennessee.
