Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Intervention Therapist to join our team at May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities in Wilmington, MA. As a Behavior Intervention Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping students with autism or other developmental disabilities reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • Develop and implement individualized behavior support plans to promote positive behavior change.">
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to design and deliver educational programs that meet the unique needs of each student.">
  • Conduct behavior assessments and collect data to inform treatment decisions.">
  • Provide training and coaching to school staff on behavior support plans and crisis intervention strategies.">
  • Participate in home consultation and family engagement activities to promote community integration.">
  • Document progress and outcomes to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.">
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in ABA and other relevant fields to maintain certification and licensure.">

Requirements

">
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred, current enrollment in a program working toward BCBA licensure considered.">
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) preferred, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst considered.">
  • Previous experience conducting behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans to reduce problematic behaviors and teach replacement behavior.">
  • Demonstrated effective supervisory skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.">
  • Management of boundaries in high stress situations.">
  • Experience instructing, implementing, and coaching others through crisis intervention strategies (e.g., Safety Care).">
  • Experience with working with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities required.">
  • Valid driver's license required.">

May Institute offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
