About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator to join our team at the Cato Institute. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging role and make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the HR Director and HR Manager in various aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, and benefits administration.

Talent Acquisition
  • Partner with the HR Manager to plan and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to develop job postings, interview schedules, and offer letters.
  • Manage multiple steps in the hiring process, including creating job descriptions, posting ads, and conducting interviews.
Employee Engagement
  • Ensure compliance with all DC and federal employment laws and requirements.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
Benefits Administration
  • Coordinate with the payroll manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Manage employee benefits, including open enrollment, performance reviews, and audits.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in human resources or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of direct professional experience in Human Resources.
  • Working knowledge of Paylocity, ADP, Work Day, or similar HCM systems.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The Cato Institute offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-provided life and disability insurance, 401(k) employer match, transit/parking benefits, and pet discount plan.
