Territory Business Development Manager

About the Role:
The Territory Manager position at US Foods involves developing and managing established and new customers to sell food and non-food items and achieve sales and profitability goals. The primary areas of responsibility include:
Main Responsibilities:
- Foster the customer relationship in a team-based selling model.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department and troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client.
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers and leveraging other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.
- Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales to share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have:
- 1+ year of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice industry or a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive spirit and results-driven mentality.
- Problem-solving ability and organization and negotiation skills.
- Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management tools.
Working Environment:
This role involves frequently working outside the office environment, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions. The candidate should be able to perform the following physical activities for the described length of time.
