Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of requisitions, expediting emergency orders, and maintaining daily records of the purchase order system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Requisition Management: Verify the accuracy and completeness of requisitions before submitting them to vendors.
  • Emergency Order Processing: Expedite emergency orders and arrange for timely shipment.
  • Purchase Order System Maintenance: Maintain daily records of the purchase order system, including computer file maintenance and record keeping.
  • Acquisition Process Support: Provide support to the acquisition process, ensuring compliance with established procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One to two years of experience in hospital purchasing preferred.
  • Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
