Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled RN-Practice Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. This role will play a critical part in driving nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and support caregivers to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and clinical professional development to identify gaps and develop plans to improve professional growth, skills, and competencies.
  • Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice.
  • Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.
  • Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devise strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
  • Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • Work Experience: 2 years applicable experience required; 5 years preferred.
Additional Preferences
  • Required - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • ACLS/PALS preferred.
