Job Title: Consult Liaison Psychiatrist

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join their multidisciplinary inpatient consultation/liaison team at Strong Memorial Hospital.

About the Role:

This full-time position includes both a medical staff appointment at Strong Hospital and an academic appointment with University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry at a rank commensurate with experience and accomplishments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultation and liaison services to patients and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Teach and supervise psychiatric residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Board certification in general psychiatry and consultation psychiatry/psychosomatic medicine
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and academic focus
  • New York physician license prior to start
  • DEA prior to start
