About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Asheville Specialty Hospital, located in Asheville. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The RN Resident will coordinate and deliver individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients, families, and caregivers. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patient condition, performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting administration of care, and providing exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.

The RN Resident will also teach patients, families, and caregivers about patient medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Additionally, the nurse will strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.

This role requires collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized care using established nursing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.'

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
