A Day in the Life of a Painter

As a painter at Westgate Resorts, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our properties. Your duties will include preparing surfaces for paint, applying primer or mildewcide as needed, and using paint guns, rollers, or brushes to apply paint to exterior or interior surfaces.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares all surfaces for painting, utilizing drop cloths and masking tape to protect surrounding areas.
  • Applies primer or mildewcide prior to painting where necessary.
  • Uses paint guns, rollers, or brushes to apply paint to prepared exterior or interior surfaces.
  • Applies caulking where required.
  • Mixes paint to achieve desired colors.
  • Ensures safe working conditions by setting up and using ladders and/or scaffolding.
  • Leaves work areas in clean and tidy condition.
Requirements
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Florida state driver's license.
  • Passing a background check, drug test, and proving eligibility to work in the United States.
