Job Overview

ACL Digital is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team for the WinterFest season. As a WinterFest Operator, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for visitors to our outdoor event series at the Science Center Plaza.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, focusing on the ice bumper car operation, crowd flow, and special needs assistance.
  • Open and close the operation and warming hut each day, ensuring all equipment is secure and ready for the next day.
  • Ensure rules and policies are adhered to, and perform safety checks before and after rides.
  • Assist customers safely on and off synthetic ice, and oversee safety during each ice bumper car ride.
  • Notify Harvard University police and the Common Spaces team in the event of an emergency.
  • Monitor fire pits, occasionally lighting the flames and replenishing wood with support from Facilities staff and Cambridge Fire Department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of customer service experience required, with a focus on speaking to customers, answering questions, and offering assistance.
  • Interest in community engagement, event management, and/or recreational sports preferred but not required.
  • Ability to spend long durations of time outdoors in low temperatures, and lift 50lbs.
