Job Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, your duties will include:
  • Evaluating patients upon initial encounter to determine the need for occupational therapy intervention and referring them to other treatment team members as necessary.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans for each patient based on evaluation results and interpreting these findings for patients, family members, and treatment team members.
  • Collaborating with patients to set realistic goals and explaining treatment plans and objectives.
  • Implementing treatment or supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants or occupational therapy students, delegating routine care to supportive personnel when appropriate.
  • Terminating occupational therapy services when patients have reached maximum benefit and providing in-service education to ensure follow-through of treatment programs.
  • Evaluating, recording, and reporting on patient progress for review by the rehabilitation team.
  • Communicating effectively with physicians, other rehabilitation team members, and stakeholders regarding treatment plans and patient responses.
  • Completing all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
  • A current license as an Occupational Therapist in the state where you'll be practicing.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with experience working in similar settings, preferably with critical care experience.

Working Conditions

This role requires standing, sitting, lifting, manual dexterity, seeing, speaking, hearing/listening, pulling/pushing, and squatting/kneeling

Location and Schedule

You'll be working at Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton, CO, with a scheduled weekly hour of 20 hours. Our hourly rate for this position ranges from $37.46 to $57.80 depending on your level of experience.
