Job Title: Dynamic Speech Therapist Role

About the Position:

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students based on their unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on speech and language goals and progress.
  • Educate and train school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies to support students' communication skills.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes, reports, and billing information.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as school district policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Licensure: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Pupil Services License in Speech-Language Pathology from the Ohio Department of Education.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check as required by the Ohio Department of Education and the school district.

Estimated Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
