Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for team success. Additionally, they will ensure student-athletes receive instruction that fosters moral values, self-discipline, and self-confidence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A teaching certificate or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Head coaching experience; and
  • Knowledge of district, state, and league regulations.

Others:

  • Assist athletes in their college or advanced educational selections;
  • Maintain discipline, adjust grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation among team members;
  • Give constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct;
  • Determine discipline on minor infractions and contact parents when a student is dropped or becomes ineligible; and
  • Perform other duties assigned by the athletic administrator or principal.
