About the Role
The Primary Care Physician Lead serves as a healthcare professional responsible for handling various health-related problems. Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Job Responsibilities
As a Primary Care Physician Lead, you will focus on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention. You will keep medical histories and records, refer patients to specialists as needed, and begin to influence department strategy. You will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approaches for project components, working independently with considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a current and unrestricted medical license or be willing to obtain one in the state of practice. You should also be eligible and willing to obtain licenses in other states in the region of assignment as required. Additionally, you should be a graduate of an accredited MD or DO program from an accredited university, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate high-level skill in interpersonal relationships and communications with colleagues/patients, and be fully engaged in the concept of Integrated team-based care model. You should also be willing and able to learn/adapt to practice in a value-based care setting and possess superior patient/customer service skills. Basic computer skills, including email and EMR, are also essential.
