Overview

Active Minds is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for mental health support. We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial and Human Resources Officer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic leader to oversee all financial processes and procedures, as well as lead human resources across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience and creative problem-solving skills in a high-growth, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting and financial reporting for the organization, including developing the annual budget and monitoring performance against individual grant and program budgets.
  • Facilitate and manage the accounting monthly close and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Report regularly to the Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, and Board Treasurer on financial performance, providing regular insight on financial results and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or other certification in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and FASB topics as applied to nonprofits; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations.
  • High level of financial and analytical skills and extensive knowledge of financial policies, practices, and nonprofit systems.
Compensation

This position offers an estimated salary of $124,000 - $186,000 per year, depending on experience.
