Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team at Frazier Farms Market. As a key member of our Meat Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut, tray, and package meat and seafood products to meet customer demands
  • Ensure accurate pricing and stocking of products in the cases and cooler
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Comply with local, state, and government laws and regulations regarding weights and measures, and labeling
  • Participate in pre-inventory preparation, including backstock and ensuring tags match products
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • 1+ years meat cutter experience
  • 2+ years grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable and dependable; ability to follow direction
  • Strong communication skills; outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to perform repetitious activities
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 50 pounds
  • Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, balers, and other heavy machinery
Compensation

$15-$20 per hour, depending on experience
