The Reserve Engineer Role

The Reserve Engineer (RE) plays a vital role in ensuring our robots operate smoothly and efficiently. This position requires an individual who is knowledgeable in computer hardware and can provide top-notch customer service. As part of our rapid-response field-operations team, the RE will serve as 'boots on the ground' and be responsible for addressing hardware failures at client sites.

Responsibilities
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of our robot hardware through paid training and be comfortable servicing and maintaining our machines.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teammates regarding field repairs and projects.
  • Ensure timely resolution of hardware failures on our robots in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Aid in field operation projects and new robot deployments as needed.
  • Be dispatched to client sites within your area to resolve hardware failures 1-3 times a month.
  • Report to a Regional Project Manager for tasking and delegation.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with hardware assembly and disassembly, with a toolkit provided.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and small electrical components, with proprietary training offered.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with comfort using platforms like Slack and Google Meet/Hangouts.
  • Availability during regular business hours, with flexibility for on-call schedules.
  • Presentation skills, with ability to speak to clients from Fortune 100 & 500 companies.
  • Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with robotics and computer hardware.
  • Background in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Military or First Responder experience.
  • Associate degree or higher.

We offer a competitive compensation package, ranging from $20-$50 USD per hour, depending on experience. We are an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and inclusivity in our workplace.
