Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As a Radiologic Technologist - Special Procedures, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures and special diagnostic procedures in a timely manner, consistent with established quality standards and the special needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and special diagnostic procedures in a timely manner, consistent with established quality standards and the special needs of patients.
  • Participate as a member of a specialized medical team, preparing patients and equipment for interventional procedures, and assisting physicians in emergency situations and adverse contrast reactions.
  • Demonstrate competency in providing care to patients undergoing procedures such as peripheral diagnostic and therapeutic angiography, carotid stenting, vascular access procedures, embolization procedures, arterial and venous thrombolysis, percutaneous nephrostomy and biliary tube insertions and changes, pleurex tube insertion, pelvic venogram, spine/neuro interventions, and G tube insertions and adjustments.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance tests on radiological and emergency equipment, and record results, operating all related equipment and consistently demonstrating competence in all areas of radiographic positions, physiology, procedure preparation, patient care, and technical factors.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved educational institution.
  • In the absence of formal special procedures training, twelve months of certifiable on-the-job training in angiography is required.
  • Two years of experience in a hospital special procedure environment is preferred.
License/Certifications
  • Current certification in diagnostic radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current State of Maryland licensure is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS certification.
