Product Development Specialist

Product Development Role Overview
As a Product Development Technician at TRUE Fitness, you will play a crucial part in analyzing, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to support and improve our premium fitness products. These products include premium cardio consoles and related equipment, each comprising a unique combination of hardware, embedded software, network connectivity components, and related hardware & plastics.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary contact point for addressing field issues requiring product changes
- Provide troubleshooting and issue analysis
- Assist in managing macro & micro-level software & applications across the TRUE console network
- Design, implement, test, & document software, firmware, and hardware solutions
- Develop an in-depth understanding and implementation details for key technologies and component areas within our products
- Acquire and utilize new development skills as needed to complete projects successfully
- Collaborate with teammates with varying technology skill levels
- Concurrently work between multiple vendors, console, & software platforms
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience within a disciplined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with emphasis in agile methodologies such as Atlassian Jira and Atlassian Confluence
- Familiarity with networking data, wireless, and connectivity technologies (Web APIs, REST, JSON, QAuth, Bluetooth, ANT, Near-field, SQL relational database, and data mining concepts)
- 2+ years of full-stack software design and development experience, using technologies such as Java, C/C++, JavaScript (a plus)
- Linux experience a plus
- Experience working with a range of AV setups, including head-end systems, IPTV, and set-top boxes (a huge plus)
- Experience with design and development of firmware for microcontrollers for embedded systems (a plus)
- Experience with user interface development using Qt, QML, and JavaScript (a strong plus)
- Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering knowledge or experience (a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
