**Duties:**
Takes initial patient histories and performs thorough physical examinations
Reviews patients' medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course
Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients
Performs patient exams/consultations, writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
Interprets laboratory and test results, diagnoses, and treatment/care plan formulation
Confers with physicians, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care
Provides health education and counseling to patients

**Requirements:**
Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school or physician assistant program
Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license in NC
2-4 years of clinical work experience
Ability to work independently and be responsible for own caseload
