Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support for the general operations of the Administration Office at First Baptist Church South Hill. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing office supplies, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Church Business Administrator, and ministries as needed.
  • Office Management: Maintain a clean, neat, and professional office environment, including organizing and distributing mail, and monitoring office equipment.
  • Communication: Respond to church correspondence, phone calls, voicemails, emails, and faxes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Event Planning: Coordinate and book travel arrangements for staff, leadership, and guests, and prepare event planning materials.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including event calendars, inventory, and financial records.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, volunteers, vendors, and congregational members.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
