Certified Medication Aid Professional

We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Avamere Health Services. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to residents.
About the Role
This is a PRN position that offers flexible shifts and a competitive salary. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician.
- Ensuring accurate and safe preparation, administration, and documentation of medications.
- Completing necessary forms, charts, and reports in a timely manner.
- Maintaining confidentiality of resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with charge nurses, directors of nursing, and administrators.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a current license as a certified medication aide, and knowledge of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms for medication administration. You will also need to be able to accurately measure, record, and report vital signs, as well as possess CPR/BSL certification and food handlers training.
