Facilities Operations Director

In line with Covenant House Texas's mission and principles, this role entails maintaining assigned facilities/areas in a safe and sanitary manner. Key Responsibilities Include:
Position OverviewMaintain assigned facilities/areas to ensure they remain safe and sanitary, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Supervise and lead all maintenance processes, operations, vehicle maintenance, housekeeping, and donation pickups.
Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance tasks.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work based on forecasted workloads.
Supervise and train maintenance staff members to guarantee effective workflow.
Coordinate daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure optimal facility condition.
Oversight of all repairs and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Maintain inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage for future use.
Compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Conduct preventative maintenance work and follow-ups on all maintenance and repair tasks.
Evaluate and maintain the condition of fleet vehicles to ensure they meet working standards.
Conduct scheduled safety inspections to prevent accidents.
Develop strategies to meet workload demands within specified timeframes.
Monitor expenses and create a budget for maintenance purposes.
Maintain properties and vehicles to ensure they meet working standards.
Establish and implement maintenance procedures as needed.
Regularly inspect facilities to detect and resolve potential issues promptly.
Plan and manage all repair and installation activities efficiently.
Ensure department workers adhere to established safety policies and procedures.
Assign repair schedules and evaluate cost estimates for maintenance tasks.
Document progress and maintain daily logs for maintenance activities.
Oversee spending and place orders for new supplies when required.
Process and code maintenance invoices accurately.
Required QualificationsThis role requires a high school diploma or equivalent qualification. A bachelor's degree in business administration, facility management, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Previous managerial experience is an advantage, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Familiarity with technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems is essential.
Strong knowledge of general facilities repair techniques is required.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
Working ConditionsThis position involves frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.
The ability to grasp, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds is also required.
Operating a computer, fax machine, and telephone is part of the job duties.
Daily driving to off-site events, meetings, and training may be necessary.
Estimated Salary RangeThis role offers an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
