About the Role

At CarMax, we're looking for skilled Automotive Technicians to join our team. As an Automotive Technician, you'll play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning vehicles to meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations, to ensure vehicles are in top condition.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to solve technical problems and meet productivity goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer training and guidelines to ensure our vehicles meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and stay current with industry advancements.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in automotive repair or a related field.
  • Knowledge of engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems.
  • ASE certification in relevant areas (A1-A8).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet productivity goals.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
