Job SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Psychologist (LP) to join our team. This provider will see primarily adult patients in an outpatient primary care clinic setting, with the ability to see pediatric patients as well. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments for mental health, substance abuse, and medical needs in the primary care setting.
- Provide direct services to patients, including screening, support, assessment, brief intervention, and referral as deemed appropriate.
- Provide psychoeducational information to patients and/or family members or accompanying caregivers.
- Consult and provide feedback to primary care providers.
- Develop and maintain familiarity with MH/SA related psychopharmacology.
- Remain current and knowledgeable about local and regional resources for mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Participate in outreach educational activities in the community as assigned.
- Maintain a regular schedule at assigned clinics in collaboration with the treatment teams at each clinic.
- Maintain all necessary documentation and participate in ongoing dialogue about content, quality, and organization of BH progress notes, self-management goals, care plans, etc.
- Must demonstrate the Rural Health Group Core Competencies, including good judgment, communication, customer service, teamwork, passion, honesty, and responsibility.
- Master's degree in Social Work or doctoral degree in Psychology.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Psychologist or NC license eligible.
- Minimum 2 years of experience and prior experience working within ethnically and culturally diverse families.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, make decisions, organize tasks, and handle multiple priorities.
