Cardiac Telemetry RN Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse PRN II to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who want to create their own personal career path in nursing, with the flexibility to work as needed.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care in line with departmental requirements and state and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. As an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, you will embody the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administering prescribed medications, monitoring the patient for therapeutic response, and taking appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Providing exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educating patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
You will be working in a multi-specialty hospital in Texas with over 360 beds, offering a range of services including emergency care, heart and vascular care, neurology and neurosurgery, rehabilitation services, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Our hospital is part of St. David's HealthCare, one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas and the third-largest employer in the Austin area.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including $123,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional perks such as education assistance, colleague recognition programs, time away from work programs, and employee health assistance funds.
