We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team at NE Property Management. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in multifamily property maintenance, with a focus on leadership and team management.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in apartment or multifamily property maintenance, with a proven track record of leading teams and delegating tasks effectively. They will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, supervising junior technicians, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments, common areas, and exterior facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train junior maintenance technicians, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures, OSHA regulations, and local laws.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure that all concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in apartment or multifamily property maintenance, with a focus on leadership and team management.
  • Certifications: HVAC/EPA certification required; CPO and CAMT certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, physical stamina to perform manual labor, and proficiency in using hand tools and power equipment.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
