Nurse Assistant Position

As a Student Nurse Assistant at UW Health, you will work closely with nursing staff to care for acutely ill patients, gaining first-hand experience in a world-class hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical care to patients in selected situations where thorough knowledge of technique and demonstration of competency is required.
- Work under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse when caring for patients.

Work Schedule:
Work hours will be determined at the time of hire, with a primarily 20% FTE (16 hours per pay period) schedule, including every other weekend, 8/12 hour shifts, day/evening/night shift scheduling, holidays, and weekends may be required. Clinic positions are Monday-Friday, day hours. Hours will vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Compensation:
$18/hour plus weekend and evening/night differential.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a State of Wisconsin-approved Nurse Aid Training Program.
- 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry upon hire.
- BLS/CPR certification within 3 months.
