About the Role
As a Senior Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely test results for patients. You will work independently and as part of a team to perform routine and complex laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities
- Determine specimen acceptability according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
- Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
- State Medical Technologist license (if required by local regulations).
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred or required based on local regulations).
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency with computers.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
