We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Therapist to join our team at Manchester Public Schools. As a Behavior Therapist, you will work closely with students who require additional support in a classroom setting.

  • Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and supportive learning environment, promoting positive behaviors and reducing problem behaviors.">

Responsibilities:

  2. Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to reduce problem behaviors and promote positive ones.">
  3. Work closely with teachers to integrate behavioral strategies into lesson plans and instructional activities.">
  4. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students as needed.">
  5. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress and provide feedback on their child's behavior.">
  6. Maintain accurate records of student behavior and progress.">

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.">
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviors.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
  • Certification in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.">
